**Surah Al-Isra (The Night Journey), Verse 13** **Arabic Text:** وَكُلَّ إِنسَٰنٍ أَلۡزَمۡنَٰهُ طَـٰٓئِرَهُۥ فِي عُنُقِهِۦۖ وَنُخۡرِجُ لَهُۥ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ كِتَٰبٗا يَلۡقَىٰهُ مَنشُورًا **Translation:** "And [for] every person We have imposed his fate upon his neck, and We will produce for him on the Day of Resurrection a record which he will encounter spread open." **Description:** This verse emphasizes individual accountability for one's actions and the concept of predestination within the framework of free will. * **Individual Accountability:** The phrase "imposed his fate upon his neck" signifies that every individual is responsible for their own actions and the consequences thereof. * **Book of Deeds:** The verse mentions the "Book of Deeds" (kitab) which will be presented to each individual on the Day of Judgment.
